I’ve always seen my alter-ego as someone similar to Spinelli from that early 2000s Disney Channel cartoon, Recess. She’s that take-no-nonsense tomboy who isn’t afraid to speak her mind or express herself. The way she dressed, in a leather jacket and chunky boots, spoke to my grungy teenage angst and encouraged me to buy my first pair of original Dr. Martens boots.

As I’ve grown older and less rebellious, I’ve noticed that Dr. Martens has grown as well. No longer simply the purveyor of the Britain bred signature boots, the brand has expanded to oxfords, casual shoes, chukkas and accessories.
